Using an SD flash card, the Embedded License Plate Recognition Software from IP Configure can be installed to a compatible Axis camera for adding a standalone license plate monitor. Useful in a variety of applications including toll booths, parking garages and large parking lots, license plate recognition can be helpful for preventing and solving vehicle theft, parking permit control, gas station drive-offs, as well as many other situations. With the ability to capture vehicles moving at speeds up to 35 mph, the application allows the camera to capture the plates of vehicles as far as 120' away at angles up to 35° horizontally or vertically. The application is programmed to recognize license plates from various countries and adjustments can be made to the settings depending on license plate back coloring for optimal performance. A 1-year support and upgrade subscription is included with purchase for technical support, maintenance, and firmware updates for the application.
