User manual for the JVC VN-V686WPBU Outdoor PTZ Network Dome Camera (36x)
The user manual for the JVC VN-V686WPBU Outdoor PTZ Network Dome Camera (36x) provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Surveillance - Surveillance Video - Wired IP Cameras.
The JVC VN-V686WPBU Outdoor PTZ Network Dome Camera (36x) with a 1/4” IT CCD image sensor delivers clear images in MPEG-4 and JPEG formats at a resolution of 640 x 480 at 30 fps. With 36x optical zoom and 3.43-122 mm lens, the camera proves useful for detailed monitoring. The direct drive motor mechanism helps the camera rotate fast at 400°/sec (both horizontally and vertically) and slow at 0.04°/sec, enabling you to capture crucial scenes.
With a preset accuracy of 0.03°, the PTZ dome camera can maintain preset positions while frequently panning and tilting. Since the mechanical noise of a belt-driven PTZ camera is absent, the network dome camera is ideal for use in locations such as hospitals, schools, museums, libraries, and offices. The direct drive mechanism also reduces the chances of malfunction and increases reliability.
Digital image stabilization feature allows the camera to capture steady pictures by compensating for any camera movement caused by external stimuli. The camera supports IR cut filter that is used to switch between color and B&W as per changes in ambient lighting, ensuring accurate color reproduction in daylight and enhanced B&W images at night. With a minimum illumination of 0.04 lux at f/1.6 (B&W) and 0.5 lux at f/1.6 (color), the dome camera captures clear images even in low light conditions. Backlight compensation adjusts video gain to correct the exposure when the object being captured is in front of a bright light. In addition to this, the camera uses Wide-D function for delivering clearly visible images in high-contrast light conditions. It also enables you to identify details of the subject by adjusting the picture and gamma curve.
Privacy masking allows you to mask up to 8 portions of a scene to ensure privacy. The PTZ camera includes motion detection feature that triggers an alarm when motion is detected in a designated portion of the video display. With the automatic tracking function, the dome camera can automatically track a moving object or person when home position is displayed.
The built-in user-friendly viewer software allows you to monitor camera images on the computer as well as for configuring settings and controlling the camera. Power is supplied to the camera through PoE; hence the camera gets power from the network itself without any extra wiring for auxiliary power outlets. The network dome camera supports one-touch lock mechanism for quick and easy maintenance and installation. Besides, the dust and weather-proof housing makes the camera ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.
