This Kirk Quick Release Lens Collar is a replacement collar for the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR lens. It allows your lens to quickly mount and un-mount to an Arca-type compatible clamp. An easy-to-grip locking knob enables smooth rotation for changing your camera between portrait and landscape orientation when mounted to a tripod or monopod. The collar is machined from 6061 T6 aluminum and weighs 8.1 oz.
It is recommended to to use the optional LS-2 Lens Support in conjunction with this collar and the Nikon 200-500mm lens in order to decrease lens drop or play when the rotation knob is loosened for smoother, more precise movements and control.
