The Kramer VS-84HN 8 x 4 HDMI Matrix Switcher allows up to eight HDMI sources to be routed to up to four destinations. Routing can be configured however you want, allowing any input to be mapped to any one or more outputs. The HDMI signal is re-clocked and equalized to help prevent dropouts when using long cable runs.
The switcher can be controlled locally, or via the included IR remote. In addition, RS-232 serial control and an Ethernet connection allow it to be configured and operated remotely using Windows software. It can support 16:9 video at up to 1920 x 1080 resolution, and can support 4:3 video at up to UXGA (1600 x 1200) resolution.
To simplify integration into your A/V setup, the switcher features a 1 RU rackmountable form factor and includes rack ears. Controls remain accessible at the front, meanwhile all of the video, data, and power connectors are located on the back.
