Charge your AA and AAA batteries with this BC-500 Alpha Battery Charger from La Crosse Technology. The charger accepts both NiCd and NiMH batteries and can charge AA and AAA sizes simultaneously. All modes default to a 500mA charge, and the charger automatically switches to a trickle charge when charging is complete to ensure maximum capacity.
An LCD screen on the charger shows the percentage of capacity charged for each battery, and overcharge protection helps to protect battery life. The charger has three modes to give you the most out of your batteries. Charge Mode is simply for charging, and displays the voltage and percentage charged. Discharge Mode reduces memory effect by discharging the batteries completely and then fully charging them. Test Mode charges to full capacity, discharges completely to measure capacity, and then recharges to full capacity. Terminal voltage is displayed in all operating modes. If a defective battery is detected, a defect indicator will flash on the LCD screen. An AC wall adapter, car plug adapter, and two AA rechargeable NiMH batteries are included.
