The 2GB Echo smartpen from Livescribe is a digital pen that records everything you hear, say, and write, while linking your audio recordings to your notes. It can replay the audio directly from the paper by tapping the pen on your notes. Additionally, the included Echo Desktop software saves your notes and recordings to your computer for fast, easy access to what's important. Search for words within your notes and find what you need fast.
The Echo smartpen comes with 2GB of memory installed (actual user available memory will be less), as well as Livescribe software, and 500MB of personal online storage. Also included are a starter dot notebook, a micro-USB cable for charging and data transfer, and the interactive Getting Started Guide. Additionally, two ink cartridges are included (one, already installed), and one smartpen cap.
The Livescribe software is compatible with Mac or Windows that meets system requirements and Livescribe dot paper is required for the Smartpen to function. Additional paper is available to purchase. Please don't record without permission. The mobile device access requires the Pencast Player App or a Flash-enabled web browser.
