Enjoy simple setup with the wireless operation of the LW2231 Day/Night Outdoor IP Camera from Lorex by FLIR. Using a 1/4" color CMOS image sensor with a VGA 640 x 480 resolution combined with a powerful transmission range, users will be able to capture and record video in real time at frame rates up to 30 fps. It uses MPEG-4 compression to limit bandwidth usage and it has a 3.6mm f/2 lens with a wide 55° viewing angle. Also, it features a built-in microphone for audio.
The wireless technology is strong, allowing for clear imaging at distances up to 500' outdoors and 165' indoors, meaning you can set up the camera far away without worrying about running a cable. This system also uses SignalGuard Technology to monitor the signal and reconnects when it detects low strength as well as Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum technology to reduce interference. For additional protection, it is IP66-rated for weatherproofing and is vandal resistant. And, it can work at night with a 24 IR LED array with a long range setting of up to 135'. The receiver is also very simply, offering either a BNC or RCA connection to a DVR or TV.
