Unlike a traditional rack-and-pinion focuser, the Lunt Solar Systems 2" Crayford-style Focuser uses a steel rod held tightly against the focus tube to provide a toothless friction system that eliminates backlash and enables ultra-fine precision focusing. This is the same dual-speed focuser that comes with the LS60THa and LS80THa telescope packages, and is offered here as a spare part or replacement. It features a larger rough-focus knob and a smaller knurled 10:1 micro-focusing knob for ultra-fine focusing capabilities. The draw tube is etched with a focusing scale for repeatable results with 1.65" (4.2 cm) of focus travel. A brass compression ring just inside the 2" barrel will not cause marring, and over-sized thumbscrews lock down your eyepiece or accessories.
