The iXR is specifically designed for archival, art, documentation, industrial and other reproduction applications. Providing compatibility with Leaf Credo medium format digital backs as well as Phase One IQ backs, the iXR creates high resolution, detailed, and color-accurate images. Schneider-Kreuznach leaf shutter lenses or focal plane shutter lenses from Mamiya and Phase One provide focal length versatility and sharp capture.
Integrating Capture One software into the workflow brings color and detail enhancement as well as remote capture for improved productivity. A mirrorless system and few moving parts minimize vibrations, and remote control of aperture, shutter speed, and focusing means less need to touch the camera, thus reducing alignment errors, increasing sharpness, and allowing the use of continuous lighting.
The aluminum alloy iXR body is a compact, durable construction designed as a modular system ready for upgrades and additions. LEMO self-locking connection means that cables stay put while working and two 3/8" tripod sockets offer the security and stability needed for accurate reproduction work. An integrated hot shoe mount enables the attachment of a flash or other lighting unit as well as other accessories.
Included in this kit is the versatile, standard focal length, fast aperture Mamiya Sekor 80mm f/2.8 LS D lens. This autofocus and manual focus capable lens provides the 35mm focal length equivalence of 50mm with an angle of view of 47° and a minimum focus distance of 2.3'. It has a 72mm filter thread diameter, measures 2.5 x 3.4" and weighs 1.1 lb.
