Backup and archive server and business data using the mTape Thunderbolt 2 LTO-6 Ultrium External Tape Drive from mLogic. Featuring compatibility with several backup and archiving utilities, the mTape LTO-6 is also able to read and write to LTO-5 tapes and read LTO-4 tapes. The unit is also equipped with dual Thunderbolt 2 ports that are certified by Apple and Intel. In addition to providing data transfer speeds of up to 20 Gb/s, the Thunderbolt 2 ports also allow Thunderbolt 2 and Thunderbolt peripherals to be daisy-chained together using the mTape LTO-6. For users who need to create multiple backups simultaneously, a 6 Gb SAS expansion port allows data to be written concurrently to two or more LTO drives.
The mTape LTO-6 also supports the Linear Tape File System (LTFS). Using LTFS, mTape mounts to your system just like a hard disk with drag and drop functionality. When combined with the free Mac-compatible mTape Utility, the process of formatting, mounting, and ejecting tapes is made more user-friendly. Also included with this tape drive is a Fujifilm LTO-6 cartridge, a Fujifilm Universal Cleaning Cartridge, a 3.3' / 1.0m Thunderbolt cable, and a universal power adapter.
