For the user of an existing PCI-424 based MOTU audio system (2408mk3, HD192 etc.,) the 24I/O adds all of the inputs and outputs of the 24I/O core system. The additional twenty-four high quality, 24-bit/96kHz analog inputs and outputs could be used for the transfer of tracks to and from an analog console or as additional inputs for synthesizers, or as sends and returns for external audio processors.
