The Moultrie 30-Gallon Feedcaster Fish Feeder is designed to provide automated feeding of fish stocks in lakes or ponds with an overlooking platform such as a dock or walkway. Its two-piece, UV, rust, and corrosion-resistant plastic hopper can accommodate 30 gallons or 100 pounds of fish feed. The feed is directed into a feeder that distributes at a 30° angle to help ensure that all released feed is placed into the target body of water.
The feeder also features a directional shroud for maximum casting distance and a feeder spill guard is included to further minimize waste. Above the feeder and attached to the top half of the hopper is a control box that allows you to set the feeder to release the hopper's contents up to 6 times per day. The control box also provides the ability to control the duration of each release. Each release can be set to last 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, or 20 seconds which corresponds to approximately 0.4, 0.7, 1.0, 1.3, 1.6, 1.9, 2.2, 2.5, or 2.8 pounds of dispensed fish feed assuming 0.25" floating pellets.
The Moultrie 30-Gallon Feedcaster Fish Feeder is powered by a separately-sold 6V alkaline or Moultrie rechargeable battery. For extended or continuous power, an optional Moultrie Solar Panel or Feeder PowerPanel can be connected.
Three powder-coated leg poles and three feeder feet provide a stable base, while optional deck screws can be used to further secure the feeder feet to the surface the Moultrie 30-Gallon Feedcaster Fish Feeder is placed on.
