Ideal for security surveillance, search and rescue, and tactical applications, the Iris 321 1x 3rd Generation Night Vision Binocular from Night Optics is equally optimized for handheld or head-mounted use. It features two 3rd generation filmless autogated intensifier tubes that provide resolution of 64-72 lp/mm and automatic brightness control. They will enable you to see brighter and clearer images than 1st and 2nd generation devices with similar optics. While the filmless microchannel plate improves signal-to-noise ratio and efficiency of intensifier, the autogating greatly increases sensitivity in low-light and varying lighting conditions, protects from bright light burnout, and helps extend life. Outfitted with the automatic brightness control, the device will regulate image brightness to maintain the same visibility. To maximize image brightness in total darkness, the binocular carries a built-in infrared illuminator that can cast extra infrared light on your targets. The optical system features a multi-coated 26mm, f/1.2 lens system, 1x magnification, a 40° angular field of view, and a minimum focus of 10". The binocular can be upgraded with optional lenses to increase magnification.
The housing is made of lightweight and durable impact-resistant polymer and offers and water-resistant performance. The wide, rubber-winged eye cups will prevent spill-over of light and offer comfortable cushions between your orbitals and the eyepieces.
