The Nikon WP-N1 Waterproof Housing for Nikon 1 J1 / J2 Digital Camera is an underwater case for your Nikon 1 J1 or J2 digital camera with 10-30mm VR lens. Dive down to 131' (40 m) for great beneath-the-surface photos and videos. You can also use the housing to capture images at- or above-the-surface, such as while boating, kayaking, fishing or hanging pool-side.
The lightweight (1.7 lb / 0.8 kg) WP-N1 enables access to key camera functions via mechanical and button controls. The shutter, zoom ring, Mode dial, Multi-selector, movie recording, playback, delete and menu buttons are all easily accessible from the housing's exterior, affording you plenty of creative freedom. The WP-N1 has an integrated lens port specifically designed to accommodate the 10-30mm VR lens. A cold shoe mount on the top of the housing permits the attachment of optional accessories, such as a lighting arm.
Included with the housing are the following: A WP-O1000 O-Ring, which provides the waterproof seal, along with a WP-OR1000 O-Ring Remover for maintenance or replacement of the O-ring; a WP-IR1000 Inner-Reflection Prevention Ring to help keep unwanted reflections from appearing in your images; and a WP-AN1000 Strap, which helps ensure that your housing, with camera inside, doesn't get away from you while you're shooting around, in, or beneath the surface of the water.
Also supplied are a WP-LC1000 Front Cap, which covers the lens port when the housing is not in use, protecting the port against scratches while also preventing buildup of dust, dirt and debris; and a WP-AN2000 Front Cap Strap, which attaches the WP-LC1000 Front Cap to the housing to ensure the cap is not lost when you remove it to use the housing underwater. There is also a WP-ZG1000 Zoom Gear Sleeve, which works with the zoom gear to enable you to operate the zoom function on the 10-30mm VR lens; WP-G1000 Silicone Grease, which keeps the O-ring from drying out; and WP-S1000 Silica Gel Desiccant to remove moisture from the housing.
