This Underwater Housing from Nimar is a waterproof case for the Sony HDR-CX250E, CX260VE, or CX270VE camcorder. It has a depth rating of 328' and is slightly positive in buoyancy. It is primarily constructed from durable, corrosion-resistant, anodized aluminum. The back plate is made from rugged Makrolon polycarbonate, which is clear to enable you to monitor your camcorder and the double O-ring seal.
The housing provides access to essential camcorder functions, including on/off, wide-to-telephoto zoom and record, via the mechanical controls on the adjustable grip handle. This handle is ergonomically designed for comfort and smooth, easy handling. A standard flat lens port is supplied, and an optional, wide-angle, glass dome port helps correct for the minimized field of view underwater. Also available separately, an external macro accessory lens attaches to the outside of the housing's flat port to enable clear, detailed, extreme close-up shots. The housing features a lateral viewing mirror for the camcorder's monitor, as well. This shows you the reflection of what's on the monitor, so you can see what you're shooting. The T-mount on top of the grip handle allows for the attachment of an optional arm for a video light.
