The ThunderBay 4 Mini 4-Bay Enclosure from OWC / Other World Computing features four 2.5" bays that can each house an SSD or hard drive and connects to Mac and Windows systems via Thunderbolt. Once drives are installed, they can be configured using your own RAID software into different RAID options that offer redundancy, speed, or a combination of both.
The ThunderBay 4 Mini is equipped with two Thunderbolt 2 ports that support a data transfer speed up to 20 Gb/s between your system and the array. It also allows you to daisy-chain up to six devices such as additional ThunderBays, 4K displays, and more. To cool the drives and the array, OWC uses a quiet 60mm fan along with a flow-thru vented design. Included with the array is a 3.3' (1m) ThunderBolt cable to help you get started.
