It is waterproof to the IPX8 standard and can operate continuously submerged to a depth of 328'. Its rubberized underside and head protect it from impact and a large carabiner loop enables it to be hung from a belt loop or in your tent. When hung from above and combined with the cone, it provides a handy area light. When used without the cone its maxbright LED offers a focused narrow beam that extends up to 190' and is well-suited to night hiking. The Amp 1L is powered by two AAA batteries.
