Ideal for tracking moving subjects with a telephoto lens, the GH-13R Gimbal Head from Rob Pleas Photography can hold a camera and lens weighing up to 13 lb. The GH-13R's anodized aluminum body is designed to fit most telephoto lenses up to a 500mm f/4.
A compact clamping mechanism allows you to quickly stop and lock the gimbal and lens in most any position. The head can pan 360° and tilt approximately -50° to +20°. It is a lightweight gimbal, weighing just 1.6 lb, and stands 9" tall.
Included with the gimbal is an Arca-type compatible top-loading quick-release balancing clamp and plate designed to fine-tune the weight of the camera or lens. Simple in its design, it works on most tripod heads or tripod/monopods whether the balancing feature is used or not. The gimbal and the QR system are made in the USA.
