The Panasonic GH4 Shoulder Mount Bundle with V-Mount Battery Plate from SHAPE is a LWS 15mm rod support rig designed specifically for the Panasonic GH4 with YAGH Interface Unit attached. The system consists of a baseplate, Paparazzi handle with EVF mount, Mini Composite Shoulder Pad, Quick Handles, 2-stage 4x4 matte box, double rod block, and a cheese plate with IDX V-Mount battery plate. It also includes a Cineroid EVF4RVW EVF for framing and monitoring your shots and a 20" coiled SDI cable for connecting the EVF to the video output from the YAGH.
The baseplate supports a pair of 14" long rods, while the double rod block supports a pair of 8" long rods at a higher level in front of the rig. This lets you accommodate the height of the GH4 with YAGH interface unit attached, ensuring proper centering of lenses when using the matte box. For tripod use, the baseplate has a set of 3/8"-16 and 1/4"-20 threads on the bottom for attaching a standard tripod plate. For shoulder-mounted use, both the Quick Handles and Mini Composite Shoulder Pad clamp onto the 15mm rods using single red spring-loaded levers. The handles feature SHAPE's push button rosette release, letting you adjust the angle of the hand-grips on-the-fly, without having to remove your hands from the rig.
The Paparazzi Handle clamps onto the 15mm rods and provides a secure point of contact for carrying the camera. Additionally, it has threaded 3/8"-16 and 1/4"-20 holes along the sides, top, and bottom for adding various accessories, such as LED lights, monitors, microphones, recorders, articulating arms, wireless audio receivers, or any other accessories that you might need. The handle also features a universal EVF mount for attaching the included Cineroid EVF, which features a 3.5" retina LCD and detachable optical loupe. To power your camera or accessories from power output on select V-Mount batteries, a 15mm rod-mount cheese plate comes includes with a screw-on IDX V-Mount battery plate.
