The Singh-Ray Mor-Slo 15-Stop ND Filter is a solid neutral density filter providing an exposure reduction of about 15 stops. This 4.5 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Mor-Slo filters are especially adept at maintaining neutral color fidelity and minimizing color casts that are inherent to such strong densities; however, a slight warming of the image can be expected due to the exaggerated exposure length needed to compensate for the 4.5 density.
This filter features a 100mm-diameter sprocket mount for use with Cokin Z-Pro filter holders. The sprocket itself is constructed from plastic, while the 88mm-diameter filter substrate is constructed from highly polished glass.
