The SANmp - Fibre and iSCSI SAN Sharing Software from Studio Network Solutions enables users to share their projects and media files on a Storage Area Network (SAN). SANmp helps to increase workflow, as users will be able to capture, record, and edit directly onto the storage system in real-time, helping to eliminate the need to copy files locally. SANmp requires no servers or metadata controllers, which makes it a well-suited choice for companies without an IT staff. Simply install SANmp and within minutes your OS X and Windows users can be safely sharing all of their Fibre Channel and iSCSI storage.
To access the SAN, users simply launch SANmp and login with your ID and password. Users select their shared resources from a list and mount them so that they're available to the OS. Once mounted, each shared volume is recognized by the workstation as local storage. SANmp is compatible with Final Cut Pro, Avid, Adobe Premiere Pro, Pro Tools, and most other applications.
Every copy of SANmp also includes a license for both Windows and Mac, allowing it to be installed on either platform. In fact, both SANmp versions may also be installed on a dual-boot computer, such as a Mac running OS X and Windows via Boot Camp.
