The UltraPRO 423 Carbon Fiber Tripod with Pistol Grip Ball Head from Sunpak is a camera support that can hold 16 lb of gear, and includes a pistol-grip ball head. It extends from 11.5" to 65.75", and folds down to 27.5".
The 3-section legs are made from 8-layer carbon fiber, and are secured by way of flip locks. The legs are individually adjustable, and can be placed in three different angles for shooting on uneven surfaces. When folding the tripod, the legs can be folded up around the pistol-grip ball head, saving space when transporting it. Retractable spikes in the rubber feet ensure that the tripod can grip on a variety of terrain.
The rapid center column is also made from carbon fiber, and has a ballast hook for hanging weight to add stability to the tripod. A short center column is also included to allow the tripod to get to its lowest position. Neoprene leg grips are on all three legs, adding comfort when holding the UltraPRO 423, especially in extreme temperatures.
The included Pistol Grip II ball head allows for one-handed camera adjustment, so you can keep one hand on your shutter-release button. You simply squeeze the pistol grip, readjust your position, and release the grip to lock your camera in place. A quick-release plate is also included, making it easy to attach and detach your camera to the ball head.
