This B&H Kit includes the PowerBase 70 Battery and PowerBase Charger from Switronix. Just add a camera-specific Switronix Regulator Block cable, sold separately, such as one for the Blackmagic Cinema Camera or the Panasonic GH4, or for cameras that take Sony L-Series batteries, and use the PowerBase 70 to significantly extend your camera run-times. The optional Regulator Blocks connect the battery and camera via dummy batteries or barrel connectors, depending on which Regulator Block you need.
A distinguishing feature of the PowerBase 70 is that it can be attached right underneath your camera via an included 1/4"-20 adapter, so you don't need an entire rig to use an extended-length battery. Moreover, attached at the bottom, it can also be used as a battery grip in many cases. This battery also features a V-mount, allowing V-mount attachment when used on a rig.
The PowerBase 70 is a 70Wh, 14.8V lithium-ion battery offering up to 6x the run-time of Canon OEM batteries. It has a 1/4"-20 thread on each side for attaching various accessories, and a D-Tap port for simultaneously powering accessories. A 4-LED gauge will let you know remaining battery life. The included PowerBase Charger is compact and portable and can be used to charge the battery off of any AC outlet. It supports 90-240V worldwide-compatible power input.
