User manual for the TeachLogic IRM-5150 Maxim III Wireless Classroom IRM-5150/CS4
The user manual for the TeachLogic IRM-5150 Maxim III Wireless Classroom IRM-5150/CS4 provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product A/V Presentation - Assistive Listening - Assistive Listening Systems.
The IRM-5150 Maxim III Wireless Microphone System from TeachLogic is a sound-field system for classroom presentation. This system consists of an IMA-520 Amplifier/Receiver Base Station, IRT-60 Sapphire Microphone Transmitters with Lithium-ion Batteries, an ICS-55 Ceiling Sensor for IR connectivity throughout the room, and four CS-4 Ceiling Speakers. It also includes a BRC-15 Plug-In Wall Charger for charging the Sapphire transmitters. The IRM-5150 serves as the optimum sound-field system with 50W of power for large rooms or rooms with high ambient sound levels. It helps create a good intelligible learning environment over a large area with up to 4 ceiling or wall speakers (available separately). The four auxiliary inputs provide multimedia integration with even distribution of sound for all audio in the classroom. The unit also features RS-232 wall panel control of the line inputs, fire alarm connection (AC or DC), remote teacher security alert, teacher priority with instant attenuation of the line levels via Sapphire IRT-60 pendant mic (available separately), DFG (Digital Feedback Guard), and switchable anti-hum circuit on the computer input. The Maxim III is an infrared wireless microphone sound system. It is the nucleus of the classroom sound field system which provides optimum voice reinforcement. The wireless function permits 360° connectivity throughout the classroom regardless of body position or orientation. The system is comprised of an infrared detecting sensor installed in the ceiling. The sensor collects the IR wireless signal from the microphone/transmitter and sends a composite signal to the mixer/amplifier via the included 50' plenum-rated cable. The receiver transforms the composite signal into an analog audio signal which is fed to the amplifier mixer. The audio will then be fed to the speakers in the room for even voice reinforcement throughout the room. It also includes a 100' plenum rated 18 gauge speaker cable. The rechargeable batteries offer 6 to 8 hours of usage per charge. The plug-in wall charger will recharge the batteries overnight, ready for another day’s use.
