User manual for the TeachLogic The IRF-2150 LS-4 Forum 232 Sapphire IRF-2150/LS4
The user manual for the TeachLogic The IRF-2150 LS-4 Forum 232 Sapphire IRF-2150/LS4 provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product A/V Presentation - Assistive Listening - Assistive Listening Systems.
The TeachLogic IRF-2150 LS-4 Forum 232 Sapphire Classroom Sound System is a 2-channel infrared sound field (with Security Alert) sound presentation system. It includes the IMA-232 Base 50-watt amplifier/mixer which features an automatic energy saving "sleep" mode, and two wireless microphone channels/receivers which provide more freedom and permits hands free performance. Two auxiliary line inputs provide multimedia integration with distribution of sound throughout the entire classroom. The system features two separate outputs for assistive listening and affords recording options with active boards.
The Forum 232 incorporates the Digital Feedback Guard (DFG), a 3-band equalizer, digital limiting, and RS-232 connection for control the panel (IMA-232). Additionally it features two infrared wireless microphone receivers and two 25 watt RMS power amps for a total of 50 watts of class D amplification.
The Sapphire microphone is a classroom microphone, and with its diminutive size, is hardly noticeable to wear. It can be worn with a lanyard or clipped directly to a neckline collar. The Sapphire has high level output, and is constructed to have stable connectivity and elicit exacting vocal definition. With a built-in breath filter, the Sapphire can function as a pass-around hand mic.
A unique Sapphire feature is that with a tap on the power button, the mic mutes for private conversation - tap again to restore to normal operation. Additionally, the auxiliary input allows wireless playback of your iPod through the Sapphire. The mic is built with a three-position slide switch for selecting low, medium, or high microphone volume levels.
For the IRF-2150 system, the ICS-55 comes standard as it was deemed the preferred infrared sensor by TeachLogic for optimum performance. This unit needs to be installed on the ceiling at least 3 feet from the video projector. It comes with a mounting/support bracket and 50 feet of plenum rated cable with an RCA connector on each end. The ideal location for the dome sensor would be in the center of the ceiling. This will provide a clear signal path for the IR transmission from the transmitter to the dome sensor without obstruction. In addition, you will have 360° coverage and will minimize the transmission distance for more reliable performance. It collects the infrared transmission signal via 6 large detecting diodes. The sensor is connected to the mixer/amplifier via a plenum rated cable terminated with RCA connectors. The mixer/amplifier supplies the power to the sensor.
The four included SP-628L's are full range compact coaxial ceiling speakers, providing low distortion and full range frequency response for articulate vocal clarity. The SP-628L is a complete loudspeaker assembly, with 12" frame, perforated steel grill, and integrated steel back can and attached "T" bar for finish edge. Quick installation with minimal tile cutting.
