The Teknetics Delta 4000 Metal Detector builds on all of the features of the Alpha Series with many more of its own. The 8" open concentric search coil makes it a solid choice for coin and relic hunting. The preset ground balance and 7.8 kHz transmission frequency make this unit well-suited for general purpose detecting around parks and other open spaces. Detection results are displayed as a running depth readout in inches on an LCD display and are audible through the headphone output.
Buttons form the controls on this unit, letting you easily adjust the settings through an intuitive menu system. You can choose between multiple notch settings that will only provide returns on a specific metal or from one of six pre-set discrimination levels to better tailor your search results. An all metal mode provides returns on all metal types without discrimination so you can get all the hits the unit is capable of providing. This unit weighs 2.3 pounds and is powered by one 9V battery.
