The user manual for the Tele Vue Eyeguard Extender EGE-0020 provides

Many eyepieces have adjustable height eyeguards that permit comfortable viewing with or without eyeglasses. Other eyepieces may have long eye relief that is comfortable for eyeglass wearers but is uncomfortably long for some users without eyeglasses. That's when the Eyeguard Extender from Tele Vue comes into the view. It raises the eyeguard position by 8mm thereby shortening the eye relief. The Eyeguard Extender includes a rubber eyeguard and an eyepiece cap. Multiple Extenders can be combined one on top of the other. For example 2 units would add 16mm to the height of the eyeguard. The Eyeguard Extender is black anodized aluminum with anti-reflection threads.
