The user manual for the Teradek VidiU Mini 10-0247 provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Professional Video - Camcorder & Camera Peripherals - Wireless Transmission Systems.
The Teradek VidiU Mini is an ultra-portable version of the original VidiU streaming device, offering the capability to stream an HDMI signal live to all RTMP platforms, such as Livestream and YouTube Live, over dual-band Wi-Fi, or to transmit your camera feed wirelessly to Teradek's Live:Air live production iPad/iPhone app, available to VidiU Mini users as a free download. The VidiU Mini does away with the Ethernet and USB modem ports available on the full-size VidiU, as well as with the audio and mic ports and LCD, to allow for the more compact size. It also features an upgrade in battery life to three hours.
To stream to RTMP destinations, the VidiU Mini must simply be connected to a Wi-Fi access point, and to transmit to Live:Air you have to connect to your iPad/iPhone hotspot. Live:Air works like a switcher, supporting up to four camera signal and also offering text and graphics overlay for a single feed. Two VidiU Minis can be connected to Live:Air and the feeds mixed with other live and pre-recorded material for a multi-cam production. The VidiU Mini supports resolutions from 360x200 mobile to Full HD 1080p30/25 and offers easy Bluetooth connectivity to your tablet or phone for selecting your steaming destination as well as resolution and other settings.
