The 480GB SATA III JetDrive 420 Internal SSD from Transcend lets you upgrade your current drive with this SSD which offers up to 485MB/s read and 410MB/s write speeds and 480GB storage capabilities. Also provided with the drive is a complete upgrade kit that includes tools, instructions and an enclosure case for your original drive.

Inside the kit are step by step instructions to copy over the contents from your original drive to the JetDrive SSD, how to open your MacBook and two types of screwdrivers to open it with. Once the JetDrive has been installed Transcend has also included JetDrive Toolbox software giving you health statuses and enabling TRIM support.

If you want to reuse the original drive as a portable drive for extra storage, Transcend has also provided an enclosure case for it. The enclosure is powered via USB 3.0 with up to 5Gb/s transfer speeds. When you need to travel, a pouch is also included to protect the enclosure from scratches.
