The Vello FreeWave Stryker Lightning & Motion Trigger Kit for Select Nikon & Olympus E-1/E-3/E-5 Cameras from B&H is a solution for both situations in a lightweight, user-friendly package.
Operation is simple. The Stryker can be mounted directly to the camera with its cold shoe, or it can be mounted to any bracket, rig, or light stand that features a 1/4"-20 screw. In Lightning Mode simply point the camera and sensor in the direction of the subject and adjust the unit's sensitivity dial until the red light extinguishes. The sensor will respond to bursts of light. For Motion Mode the Stryker uses a Passive Infrared Sensor (PIR) to detect IR heat sources such as humans or animals from up to 16.4' away.
The unit comes supplied with one Olympus E-1/E-3/E-5-compatible cable and Nikon Canon-compatible cables which connect to the camera's remote control socket. Cables are also available for most other brand SLR cameras.
