The user manual for the VideoRay 330' Tether Upgrade for Underwater ROV UPG-330-N-THR provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Photography - Underwater Photography - ROV Accessories.
This Tether Upgrade from VideoRay replaces the 130' neutrally buoyant tether found in their underwater ROV System Packages with a longer 330' neutrally buoyant tether, enabling you to explore farther or deeper beneath the surface with your ROV system. Its modular design allows it to be attached to other tether segments for even greater length. Keep in mind that the depth rating of the Scout and Explorer is 250', so you must be careful not to exceed this depth when using this extended tether. One end of the tether connects to the ROV and the other connects to your topside box/control panel.
A steel strain-relief cable, all-copper conductors, and a Kevlar member are built into the tether for durability and a breaking strength of 1000.9 lb. This tether upgrade is available for the following VideoRay packages: SCOUT system (NTSC camera system), SCOUT system (PAL camera), SCOUT X3 system (NTSC), SCOUT X3 system (PAL), EXPLORER system (NTSC), EXPLORER system (PAL), EXPLORER X3 system (NTSC), and EXPLORER X3 system (PAL).
This tether upgrade is offered only when purchasing an entire ROV System. It is not available for purchase separately.
