With 45° viewing, the SL-40N Stereo Microscope from Vixen Optics provides a useful tool for your lab or home. While the stereo configuration provide a good sense of dimension and a 3-d viewing experience, the total magnification of 20x and 40x is ideal for studying minerals, insects, plants, circuit boards, and collectibles like coins and stamps. For adequate detail visibility, the scope has side and bottom LED illumination. With a working distance of 1.8" you will have enough room to work with a variety of samples. You can easily secure your slides with samples using two metal clips attached to the 3.7" round base plate. The coarse coaxial focusing offers two large knobs and rack and pinion mechanism. To illuminate samples and specimens, this microscope offers a bottom and side LED illumination. For accommodating individual differences, the eyepieces offer interpupillary adjustment of 2-3" and are outfitted with comfortable rubber eyecups. Also included is a hard aluminum case with a handle and locks for a secure storage and transportation. It is padded with foam inside to protect the microscope while you are on the road.
