The Zacuto Marauder with GH3/GH4 Z-Finder Pro Kit is a run-and-gun support system for the Panasonic GH3 or GH4 camera. The kit features the Marauder Foldable Camera Rig and the GH3/GH4 Z-Finder Pro Optical Viewfinder. Together, the kit provides three points of contact for increased camera stability and smoother footage, as well as the sun-blocking qualities inherent to optical viewfinders.
The Marauder offers the same type of support as Zacuto's Striker model but with an all-in-one, foldaway design. It features a gunstock with rubber pad, articulating handgrip, and an adjustable support arm. The camera support arm has a vertical or forward position, controlled by a single red push lever. Use the vertical position when attaching a Zacuto Z-Finder to your camera's LCD screen. This keeps the camera at eye level. A Zacuto Gorilla Plate V2 serves as the camera-mounting platform for the Marauder. The camera attaches to the plate via a single 1/4"-20 captive screw and can be quick-released off of the rig by using the spring-loaded ratcheting lever on the side of the plate.
The Z-Finder Pro is designed specifically for the GH3 or GH4 and attaches via the included mounting frame, offering 2.5x magnification of the LCD screen. The frame has a rubber coating to protect the LCD as well as provide a firm seal against the camera body. A large eyecup blocks out unwanted light while providing an additional point of contact for added stability. Additional features include an anti-fog cover and built-in diopter for eyesight correction. Three extender mounting frames are included to extend the distance between the viewfinder's lens and the camera's LCD monitor. This is intended for use by farsighted users as the increased distance will bring the image into focus. Note: The Z-Finder won't fit with a battery grip attached or with the LCD screen articulated.
