The Ambient Recording ASF-1 Ambient Sound Fish Hydrophone is designed for underwater ambient sound recording. The microphone is waterproof down to a depth of 100 meters and is powered by standard +48V phantom power so it can integrate with your existing audio equipment. It comes with a detachable 10 meter underwater cable that connects to the microphone through a specially designed stainless steel AHS underwater connector and to your recorder via standard 3-pin microphone XLR connection. The cable is constructed from a special formulated nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) that is designed to resist the long term effects of seawater.
The microphone has a frequency response of 7 to 40,000 Hz with an omni directional polar pattern and a total harmonic distortion of 0.1% from 10 to 40,000 Hz.
