User manual for the Aquatica AD7100 Underwater Housing for Nikon D7100 20073-HYB-VC
The user manual for the Aquatica AD7100 Underwater Housing for Nikon D7100 20073-HYB-VC provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Photography - Underwater Photography - Still Cameras & Housings.
The AD7100 Underwater Housing from Aquatica is a waterproof case enabling you to shoot beneath the surface with your Nikon D7100 DSLR camera. It has a depth rating of 295', which is upgradeable to 426'. This version of the housing also includes a pre-installed vacuum check system, which allows you to confirm watertight integrity before the dive. Mechanical controls provide easy access to virtually all camera functions, and dual ergonomic hand grips afford optimal handling and comfort. The standard, supplied Galileo-type eyepiece is a coated OVF offering a full view of the camera's viewfinder, and the optional coated Aqua View Finder offers an enlarged, enhanced view with 100% coverage, corner-to-corner sharpness, and dioptric adjustment..
The housing is made of aircraft-grade aluminum and stainless steel alloys, and precision-built using advanced, 5-axis, computer-assisted machines. Laser-cutting tools help achieve precise shaping. Anodizing the aluminum to North American military specifications ensures superior corrosion resistance. For further protection against the elements, the housing features corrosion-resistant zinc anodes and a tough, baked-on powder coating.
The AD7100 ships without a required lens port, though an array of interchangeable ports are available for wide-angle, macro and zoom lenses. For full compatibility, see Port Chart. The housing has 1 optical and 1 Nikonos connector for the attachment of optional external strobes via fiber-optic cables and sync cords. These strobes can be connected to optional support arms, such as Aquatica's Technical Lighting Control arms, which can be conveniently mounted on the housing's grip handles. The housing body has an extra mounting point on top for a focus/video light or other accessory, and three additional mounting points underneath for various brackets or a tripod.
