necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Professional Video - Signal Processing & Distribution - Video Extenders & Repeaters.
The DXE-CAT-S2C HDMI HDBaseT CAT Extender Kit with IP Control from Aurora Multimedia includes a DXE-CAT-RX2 receiver, a DXE-CAT-TX2C transmitter, and a PS0080-1 power supply.
The DXE-CAT-TX2C Transmitter works with the DXE-CAT-RX2 Receiver to extend a 1080p/60Hz HDMI A/V signal, and is capable of the following transmission distances: 48-bit signals up to 330' over CAT5e/6/7 cables, 24-bit signals up to 500' over CAT6, and 24-bit signals up 600' over a CAT6a shielded cable. In addition to HDMI, the same cable can be used to carry RS-232, IR, and LAN, bi-directionally. The transmitter-receiver combo draws its power from the included power supply, which can be connected to any of the two units; the second unit is powered by POE. Alternatively, the extender can be powered by LAN POE, in which case the power supply is not needed. All the connections are on one side, allowing for clean wiring and easy rackmounting.
The DXE-CAT-TX2C has 8MB of storage capability for hosting a Web Control page, enabling control of any IR or RS232 controllable device. This unit can also be integrated with existing supporting control systems and is configurable as a Telnet Client/Server. Additionally it provides a 2-port Ethernet switch at both ends allowing connectivity of IP capable displays and components.
