For adding a Far Eastern flavor to music projects, Peking Opera Percussion from Big Fish Audio delivers layered Chinese percussion instruments in four categories - Jingda, Drum, Bell, and Cymbal/Gong. The sounds were sampled with the most often used Chinese percussion articulations, and some layers are sampled with up to sixteen velocity layers for detailed and dynamic reproduction.
Most of the layers have their own screen layout to assist in learning how the actual instruments look while listening to their sound. Drum layers are mapped with a roll crossfade, which can be controlled via MIDI controller CC1 for reproducing a realistic crescendo, and all layers feature both close and room microphone positions, with a dry/wet control to adjust the balance between them.
