The 8 x 8 DVI Matrix Switcher with Audio from Black Box allows you to route any of 8 sources to any of 8 destinations, and is intended for A/V setups where the distribution of video devices to displays needs to be managed centrally. It works with DVI-D digital sources at up to 1900 x 1200 (WUXGA) resolution. Legacy analog devices and video content with HDCP encryption are not supported. Along with video, there is a dedicated stereo analog audio input per video input. However audio can be routed independently from video. For example, video from input 1 can be routed to output 1 while audio from input 1 can be routed to input 2. As a matrix switcher, a single input can also be distributed to two or more outputs.
The switcher can be controlled locally via front-panel buttons, IR remote, or remotely using RS-232 and a third-party control or automation solution such as Crestron or AMX.
