If you're looking for a discreet way to capture color video without having to worry about drawing suspicion, then opt for BrickHouse Security's SleekVu Hidden Camera Alarm Clock, a covert camera and recorder that can capture video in 1280 x 720 resolution at a frame rate of 30 fps. The camera's built-in DVR supports Continuous and Motion-based recording and has a motion detection range up to 15'. While the camera does not have Night Vision, it can capture video in low light settings to a minimum illumination of 1 lux.
Video is compressed in the AVI format, resulting in smaller files sizes and a better utilization of storage space. The SleekVu has an onboard microSD card slot and can support a card with up to a 32GB capacity that is not included. Video is also captured at an ultra-wide 140° angle and makes the SleekVu suitable for monitoring large indoor areas, such as a living room, kitchen, den or master bedroom in addition to the smaller rooms of your home or business.
Perhaps the most standout feature of the SleekVu, is its dual battery and AC adapter power capability. The camera clock's internal, rechargeable battery has approximately a 10 hour battery life and can be used as a covert surveillance solution without any need for wires. The AC adapter option is slightly less discreet, but provides the clock camera with a continuous power source. Along with the camera, a remote and USB cable are also included. The USB cable can be used to charge the clock camera; and transfer and playback files on your Windows or Mac computer.
