The MFC-L8850CDW Wireless Color All-in-One Laser Printer from Brother enables streamlined printing, copying, scanning, and faxing from a single device. The color laser printer features print speeds up to 32 ppm, in either black or color, with a maximum resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi. In combination with the multi-purpose tray, which supports paper sizes up to 8.5 x 14", the total paper capacity is 300 sheets. Additionally, advanced automatic duplex capabilities supports streamlined double-sided printing, as well as double-sided copying, scanning, and faxing.

For scanning, both a large, legal-sized flatbed and the 50-sheet capacity auto document feeder can be used to produce color or black & white scans with an optical resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi, which can be interpolated up to 19200 x 19200 dpi. Scans can be saved in image file formats, such as BMP, JPEG, and TIFF, as well as text file types, including searchable PDFs. When copying, either the flatbed or auto document feeder can be used to produce copies with a 600 x 600 dpi resolution at a rate of 32 cpm in color or black & white.

The 33.6 kb/s fax modem allows you to send or receive faxes from the unit itself or via a networked computer. A 500-page fax memory permits receiving faxes if there is no paper in the machine and up to 300 auto dial locations can be programmed for expedited sending.

Besides USB 2.0 and Ethernet connectivity, the MFC-L8850CDW also supports wireless network connectivity using the 802.11b/g/n standard for simple connection to an existing wireless network. Furthermore, a Direct USB interface for printing from USB flash drive and is also available as well as the ability to print from mobile device applications, such as AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, Brother iPrint&Scan, and Cortado Workplace.
