The TeraStation 1200 2-Bay NAS Enclosure from Buffalo supports up to two 3.5" SATA II hard drives to store and access all your important files at home, at work, or on the road. No hard drives are included. When drives are installed in the hot-swappable bays, they can be configured in RAID 0, 1, or JBOD to offer performance, redundancy, or set as individual disks. To help you set up the NAS, Buffalo provides a TeraStation NAS operating system. This software runs on the enclosure's built-in dual-issue ARM 1.2 GHz processor and 512MB DDR3 of memory. This NAS connects to your home or business network via two RJ-45 ports, which offer 10/100/1000 Mb/s transfer speeds. It also includes a USB 2.0 port for backup or extra storage with an external drive.
The NAS enclosure is compatible with PC and Mac computers, mobile devices, and more. You can store, access, and share files from anywhere with free services such as Buffalo's WebAccess and FTP/SFTP servers. WebAccess allows you to create your own personal cloud that can be accessed using a computer, iOS, Android, or Windows Mobile device over the web. This NAS provides real-time synchronous data replication with Buffalo's replication technology that offers easy, continuous data protection. In addition, it includes 10 licenses of NovaBACKUP for Windows and supports Time Machine to perform scheduled backups. Along with the Buffalo TeraStation 1200 are a setup CD, Ethernet cable, and a power adapter with cable.
