The user manual for the Cinetics SkatePlate SP1 provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Professional Video - Tripods, Supports & Rigs - Cine Dolly & Track Accessories.
The Cinetics SkatePlate forms a video dolly when CineSkates (sold separately) are attached. It is designed for use with products featuring the Cinetics Connect quick connection. In addition, the CineSquid Tripod Mount (sold separately) can also be attached to the SkatePlate to form a rigid camera mount. The SkatePlate has a retractable quick-setup design. Simply fold the 3 legs out and tighten the handles, and the SkatePlate locks into a sturdy configuration. You can follow the easy-to-read illustrations found on the face of the SkatePlate to line up skates for straight rolls or curves and use the imprinted marking system for perfect alignment every time.
The SkatePlate when combined with the GorillaPod provides the required strength, stability, height range, and angles required for capturing the desired portable dolly shot. It comes with a ball head and a Cinetics Connect adapter with a 1/4"-20 thread attachment for mounting your camera, microphone, or other accessories. The SkatePlate is rated for rigs up to 11 lb.
