The Cinevate Inc Proteus Rails System 12" supports the added weight of lens adapters, follow-focus systems, matte boxes and other accessories you may want to add to your camera.
Featuring 1/4" and 3/8" mounts on both the underside and the camera plate, Proteus can be attached onto any tripod and can take on any camera. The camera plate is a Manfrotto 501 quick release plate, and the mechanism that it sits on is 1.5 inches height-adjustable, allowing the plate to be raised for reasons such as making room for a battery.
The rails themselves are standard 15mm rails made of solid carbon fiber, which is half the weight of stainless steel and which is also 75% stiffer. The 12" length of the rails is best suited for DSLRs.
