The Cinevate Shoulder Mount v3 with Offset is a shoulder pad and cheese-plate combination that mounts the 15mm rods of a camera rig to turn it into a shoulder rig. Attached to a rod-clamp on the cheese-plate is an offset bracket assembly that "offsets" another rod-clamp to the side. By means of this second clamp, the entire shoulder mount connects onto a camera rig. The purpose of the offset assembly is to place a camera in front of your eye, as without the offset assembly the camera would be to your side. If your camera has a flip out screen or an external viewfinder, having the camera to a side is not a problem and you might want to consider the "Cinevate Shoulder Mount v3," which doesn't include the offset assembly.
The cheese plate component features numerous 1/4" and 3/8" threaded holes. The plate is shaped in proportion to Cinevate counterbalance weights, and these weights very neatly attach and stack up on either one or both sides of the plate. The weights are sold separately. The rods that connect the shoulder mount to the offset bracket are 6" long.
