Contour's Contour+2 HD Action Camcorder offers high-definition video and 5-megapixel photo capture in a versatile, lipstick tube design that can be mounted nearly anywhere with a range of separately available mounting hardware. The camera simply powers on and begins recording at the slide of an On/Record switch, which is lockable to prevent accidental shut-offs. The flush lens can be rotated 270-degrees so that you can mount the camera in horizontally tilted angles and still get level shots. Moreover, a laser is built-in right above the lens to help you pin-point the correct shooting angle. The camera also captures audio via an internal mic, plus there is a 3.5mm mic port on the bottom. All capture and output settings are selectable in a free-download management software available on Contour's website or using the mobile app.
The integrated lens features a 170° ultra-wide angle that will provide you with an expansive view. Video can be captured in 1080p, 960p, or 720p HD resolutions. Still photos are captured at 5 megapixels (2592 x 1944) in intervals of 1, 3, 5, 10, 30, or 60 seconds. To choose between video or photo recording, you just have to select the desired mode in the management software. All data is recorded to microSD cards up to 32GB in capacity.
A 196' underwater housing is included, further backing up the camera's boast as a take-anywhere option. A USB cable is included for charging and file transfer, and an HDMI cable is included so you can plug the camera in and enjoy your adventures once you get home. The camera records to legacy microSD as well as micro SDHC memory cards, and will accept capacities up to 32GB. A 1/4"-20 tripod socket lets you attach the camera to a plethora of tripods, suction cups, and other third-party mounting hardware - not to mention the range of dedicated accessories Contour offers.
