User manual for the DATAPATH VisionSD8 8-Channel SD Video Capture Card VISIONSD8
The user manual for the DATAPATH VisionSD8 8-Channel SD Video Capture Card VISIONSD8 provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product A/V Presentation - Signal Processing & Distribution - Multi Viewer Accessories.
The VisionSD8 8-Channel SD Video Capture Card from DATAPATH is a stand-alone eight-channel PCI Express plug-in video capture card. The card supports PAL, NTSC, and SECAM in both composite and S-video input formats, and supports de-interlaced video capture and display at 25/30 frames per second for real time video overlays. The VisionSD8 has a 480 MB/s transfer bus bandwidth, and is suitable for a wide range of applications, such as digital signage, simulation/military applications, machine vision, voyage data recorders, and multi-display presentation software.
The VisionSD8 features two 26-pin Sub-D connectors. Either connector can be used to input video signals using the included 16-way splitter cable. The splitter cable consists of 16 BNC; eight composite/S-Video Luma inputs, and eight Chroma inputs. The second connector is used as video loop-through for daisy-chain video signals to another device. For daisy chain configuration, the card inbuilt terminations should be disabled by removing termination links.
The Vision range of video capture cards are fully integrated with the Datapath family of video wall multi-display products. The VisionSD8 captures a composite or S-video output from one source and then displays it as an independent application on your video wall, which is done in real time. The card has a software application to automatically configure the timing and the format of the input source and display the captured data.
