The Stormdrum 3 Software from EastWest is a percussive virtual instrument designed for use in film scoring, production, and sound design applications. It is composed of instruments from the private collection of Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart as well as the Remo collection. The drums were played by Mickey Hart and percussionists Greg Ellis and Chalo Eduardo and produced by Nick Phoenix at EastWest Studio 1. Stormdrum 3 features approximately 86GB of samples that can be played back via the included PLAY 4 software. Stormdrum 3 gives you access to a wide variety of drums and drum sizes including members of the Taiko family, gongs, waterphones, bells, bowls, chimes, hand drums and many more. You have access to 5 different mic positions for each drum. The FX section of Stormdrum provides an SSL channel strip with EQ and compression as well as a transient shaper and SSL's stereo bus compressor.
