The NTSC configuration of PS24 Scout Thermal Monocular from FLIR is a handheld thermal monocular useful for daylight and night vision applications. The 240x180 VOx thermal sensor measures the heat signature within the field of view and enables the operator to see beyond smoke, dust, and fog obscuring the visual scene. Thermal imaging creates an image by discriminating between differences in temperature, allowing the PS24 to consistently operate in daylight, pitch dark, and dynamic lighting conditions. To optimize the transmitted image for specific applications, this monocular features two selectable polarity modes and InstAlert mode for quicker identification of people and wildlife by highlighting body heat in red.
