The FlyMount Action Camera Mount is designed to be a versatile mounting solution for action cameras including GoPros, point-and-shoot cameras, DSLRs, and camcorders. It is designed to clamp around various types of rods, poles, or other cylindrical objects, including bicycle handle bars and roll cages. When pushed directly on, it will fit rods between 0.8 and 1.5" in diameter, and will fit rods up to 1.9" in diameter when sliding on from one end.
The mount features several camera adapter options allowing it to accommodate many different types of cameras. It includes a three-pronged GoPro mount that is compatible with most GoPro housings and frames. A camera plate suitable for smaller point-and-shoot-style cameras. And a direct 1/4"-20 mount for DSLRs and camcorders that do not fit the camera plate. A pivoting ball joint between the camera mount and the clamp allows you to adjust the camera angle up to 45° once the clamp is in place to help you get the shot you want.
A safety strap and lanyard are provided with the mounting system so that you can tether the camera to a second point of contact besides the mount for additional security.
Note: Lager camcorders and DSLRs should only be used in static applications. For attachment to moving vehicles it is recommended that you only use action cameras and small camcorders such as the GoPro, or point-and-shoot cameras.
