BFD Imperial from FXpansion is a drum sample expansion pack for the company's BFD3, BFD Eco, and BFD2 acoustic drum software, featuring a wide range of drums and cymbals recorded with diverse microphone channel sets and beater types. The over 150 loadable instrument sounds are suitable for all genres of music that demand powerful, musical-sounding drums.
The medium-sized recording room used to record the drum samples imparts a naturally warm ambience, and the direct microphone signals exhibit excellent isolation. Some of the instruments feature alternative, ambient, and direct microphone sets for increased variety (BFD3 and BFD2 only). Thirteen stick and beater types, including hot-rods, webs, rutes, and jazz brushes were used, with all the instruments expertly set up and tuned.
